The Hallmark Hotel Derby Midland is a grade II listed Victorian building, oozing with the unique history of character of its home city. A place that is fondly regarded by the locals and one of the first ever purpose-built railway hotels. All rooms are ensuite with complimentary toiletries, Freeview TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hair-dryers, laundry service, free Wifi and an iron. The hotel also serves delicious food in the brasserie and there is also BT Sport available in the lounge and bar area.


Day 1: We depart our home area and travel to our hotel stopping enroute in Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Day 2: Today we visit Chatsworth House, renowned for its quality of art that spans 4000 years. There are over 30 rooms to explore, including regal state rooms and the magnificent painted hall. The garden at Chatsworth has plenty to discover, from historic and modern waterworks and sculptures to the Victorian rock garden and maze! This afternoon, we enjoy free time in the nearby market town of Bakewell. Wander round the historic buildings, individual shops and maybe even sample some famous Bakewell Pudding.

Day 3: This morning we travel to the Spa town of Buxton. Take a look at the town's magnificent architecture including the Pavillion Gardens and Opera House. There is also a wide selection of independant retailers and well known high street brands. We then move onto Derby which has a lot to offer including its Cathedral, indoor market and many museums.

Day 4: After breakfast we make our way to Crich Tramway Village. Set in a stunning location, step back in time along the recreated village streets and take a tram journey calling at various stops along the mile route. With indoor exhibitions too, there's so much to see and do. Our destination this afternoon is Matlock Bath. Why not join us on an optional excursion via cable car (weather permitting) to the Heights of Abraham. Enjoy the panoramic views, underground caves and a cafe at the summit. For those of you who prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, there is plenty of stunning scenery with a selection of souvenir shops, a mining museum and tea rooms.

Day 5: We leave our hotel today and head back to our home area, stopping enroute.
